Senior Technical Consultant

As demand for our services continues to grow, we’re expanding our technical delivery capability and are looking to welcome a Senior Technical Consultant to our team.

Our technical consultants sit at the heart of our delivery teams, supporting the implementation of enterprise‑grade project controls solutions for clients across infrastructure, defence, construction, energy and beyond. 

You’ll be involved throughout the delivery lifecycle – from requirements and design, through configuration and testing, to knowledge transfer and handover. While much of our work is delivered remotely in a hybrid model, some travel within the UK (and occasionally further afield) is expected to support customer workshops, key delivery phases and on‑site collaboration when it adds real value.

The Senior Technical Consultant role 

Senior Technical Consultants act as a technical lead within our delivery team, alongside their own technical consultant responsibilities. You’ll take ownership of defined workstreams or solution areas and play a key role in shaping how solutions are designed and delivered – often acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers during key project phases. 

In this role, you’ll: 

• Act as the technical lead for a defined solution area or project workstream
• Lead and facilitate customer requirements and design workshops, ensuring they are well‑structured, productive and aligned to delivery objectives
• Translate business, functional and technical requirements into clear, complete solution designs
• Ensure solutions align with RPC standards, delivery approaches and quality expectations
• Coordinate and support the work of other technical consultants
• Proactively identify and resolve delivery risks, dependencies and technical issues

Senior Technical Consultants are expected to engage directly with customers as trusted technical advisors, whether delivering workshops, supporting complex implementations, or providing hands‑on leadership during critical delivery phases – including on‑site support when required. 

We’re looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of successfully implementing Oracle Primavera Unifier or similar enterprise project management or capital project management platforms in complex environments. If that experience has been earned within construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, aerospace, defence, or owner-operator organisations, you'll feel very much at home at RPC.

Some of the key requirements we're looking for to be successful as a Senior Technical Consultant include:

Strong hands-on experience leading full-lifecycle implementations of Primavera Unifier or similar enterprise project management or capital project management platforms in complex environments

• Deep expertise in configuring workflows, business processes, dashboards, and integrations (ERP, scheduling tools, document management, etc.)
• Solid understanding of capital project delivery, cost control, contract management and asset lifecycle processes
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Experience mentoring client teams and delivering knowledge transfer
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

As you progress, you’ll: 

• Build and demonstrate strong hands‑on expertise across Oracle Primavera applications
• Hold and maintain relevant Oracle certifications aligned to the technologies you deliver
• Develop a strong understanding of integrations, data flows, testing and delivery governance
• Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing, training materials and continuous improvement initiatives
• Help refine RPC’s delivery approaches, documentation and technical standards 

Senior Technical Consultants play a particularly important role in driving best practice, mentoring others, and strengthening the consistency and quality of delivery across the business. Due to the nature of the work, which often requires Security Check (SC) clearance, this role requires UK residency and/or nationality.
