RPC UK is committed to operating responsibly, minimising our environmental impact and contributing positively to the communities we serve. We follow the principles of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility), using them to guide our decisions and behaviours. This policy applies to all employees, contractors and suppliers working with RPC.
Environmental Responsibilities
RPC aims to reduce waste, improve recycling and use resources such as energy and water responsibly. We prioritise digital working wherever practical and encourage sustainable travel choices. Environmental considerations are taken into account when selecting suppliers, equipment and services. We monitor our environmental impact and identify sensible improvements as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
Social Responsibility and Community Impact
RPC seeks to operate in a way that benefits society. This includes fair and respectful treatment of colleagues, supporting diversity and inclusion, contributing to community initiatives and acting in a way that reflects our values as an employee-owned organisation. We encourage teams to identify opportunities that create social value, whether through volunteering, education, partnerships or supporting charitable activity.
Ethical Supply Chains
RPC expects its suppliers to operate ethically, safely and in compliance with relevant legislation, including modern slavery laws. We work with partners who demonstrate responsible practices and are prepared to address concerns openly. If evidence suggests that a supplier is acting in a way that conflicts with our values or legal responsibilities, RPC will work with them to resolve the issue or take alternative action if necessary.
Employee Responsibilities
Everyone at RPC plays a role in supporting environmental and social responsibility. Employees should minimise waste, use resources thoughtfully, make responsible choices in travel and purchasing, and raise ideas for improving sustainability or social value. Contractors and partners working on behalf of RPC are expected to follow the same principles.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required by changes in law, best practice or organisational needs.
