RPC specified, installed, designed and configured a multi-level cost management solution, with unique functional and technical challenges. The client required a synchronised revenue, overhead, direct and indirect cost and schedule solution managed through custom business process, workflow and approval capability.

Installation
The customer adopted the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, as the infrastructure provider, with RPC providing services fulfilling the system and solution architect role for the Oracle Primavera Unifier application. Our responsibilities included:
- Solution architecture specification and design
- Installation of Unifier, P6 and Primavera Gateway on multiple platforms
- Integration of Unifier with Oracle security systems OAM and OIM
Integration & Configuration
The client accounting system, Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne, and Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM configured for resource planning, forecasting and scheduling, required a single integration and consolidation platform. Oracle Primavera Unifier was selected as the solution to provide a single source of all project and programme information for financial, time and schedule information. - Transfer of project data from and to JDE and Unifier including invoice, payment application, timesheet, direct and in-direct project costs
- Transfer of project data from P6 EPPM to Unifier including resource effort and cost forecasts by project cost breakdown structure, project schedule and resource utilisation
- Deployment and configuration of the Primavera Integration gateway, providing the integration platform between the Primavera applications.
- Configuration of integration specific workflow and approval processes within Unifier, providing an additional layer of control during the integration process without the need to develop bespoke, Java based, API applications.
As a result the project team was enabled with the flexibility needed to configure automated, scheduled, data synchronisations as well as manually triggered synchronisation execution.
